Self-catering guests have full use of the spacious patio with BBQ, and gardens with stunning views across the Severn Estuary to Wales. Guests are likely to be paid a visit by our lovely hens, you may also see lambs in the field next door, the buzzards who live in the woods at the end of our lane, and our horses and ponies. The garden is bursting with birdsong. Our field is a popular summer evening hunting ground for owls, and we hear baby owls in the garden as well as seeing the wonderful aerial displays of ‘our’ swallows who have returned every year to nest in our stables, last year hatching 2 broods, along with a Wren who made a tiny nest and raised one baby last year.

We are adjacent to a footpath leading to the Limestone Link national trail and walks all over the Mendip Hills. We also offer guided walking with a focus on wild food, natural history and archaeology and bushcraft and wild campcraft courses and mini-expeditions to woodland we use on the Mendip Hills (including outdoor overnight camping for some events see our website -  www.walkthemendips.com.
