property description:  The house is built in Alpujarran style and has all the basics for a comfortable holiday. Hot water, shower, cooker, fridge, solar 12v electricity, lots of natural light, one double bed and a separate bedroom, wood burner (we provide one box of wood and additional wood we charge for), compost toilet. There are 2 small private patios and one sun patio.

We welcome small families, but toddlers and young children will need close supervision.

The 'car park' is 5 minutes walk  from the house. Access is a winding mule path up to the village and  La Casita.  

 

 

Los cigarrones is surrounded by olives, orange, lemon trees etc. lots of us keep chickens and or grow organic vegetables. There are often free range eggs, organic fruit and veg for sale. We keep a mule to bring up the heavier items - gas bottles, building materials etc.

 

location:  The village of Los Cigarrones is made up of 8 houses owned and occupied mostly by young families. My partner and I live in the house opposite 'La Casita' with our two kids.

To get to Los Cigarrones you drive up the river bed from Los Tablones, past a' new age ' travellers site. We are 15 minutes from the market town of Orgiva. We enjoy panaramic views of the  snow capped sierra nevada and contraviesa mountains.

 

 

prices:  Fixed rate all year. £100 a week payable by cheque in advance.  No fixed changeover day.

 

other details: Approximately 35 minutes to beaches at Salobrena / Motril on the Costa Tropical. There is a bus service to / from the airports and to Granada and the mountain villages.

10 minutes local shop, bar and bus.  1 hour Granada. 2 hours Malaga.
