organig parc

property description:  Organig Parc offers a unique blend of eco-friendly design and 5 Star luxury on an organic farm in the heart of the Llyn Peninsula.

The 5 self catering cottages have been designed and constructed using eco-friendly techniques and materials.  Wood sourced from sustainable forests, recycled building materials, carpets made with wool from local sheep, bacterial cesspits, organic chemical-free paint, organic bed linen and towels, and eco-friendly cleaning products and soaps, are just some of the features of Organig Parc cottages designed to limit our impact on the environment.

Carnguwch farm is in a beautiful setting with its own mountainside spring and because of these natural blessings it seemed only right that holiday cottages on the farm should be developed in such a way that would respect the environment, both locally and in the broader sense. The owner comes from a family that has farmed and cared for the local fields and mountainside for generations. He had already converted the farm to a Soil Association certified organic holding and - like his forefathers - knew that the best way to work the land was in harmony with nature. It therefore really only seemed logical to him to choose an ecologically responsible approach to the development, and this ethos therefore guided the design and planning of the cottage accommodation.

Despite this attention to environmental consciousness, comfort has not been compromised.  All cottages are fully equipped with modern conveniences such as television / DVDs in every room, Aga cookers, wood burning stoves, dishwashers, washing machines, marble bathrooms, jacuzzi baths, and water from the farm’s own organic spring.

Situated at the foot of Yr Eifl mountains on an organic farm in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the views from the patios of the cottages are some of the best in Cymru/Wales.  To the west is the Llyn Peninsula, to the north Yr Eifl, to the east Eryri/Snowdonia, and to the south Bae Ceredigion/Cardigan Bay and llyn Carnguwch, Organig Parc’s private 2½ acre lake stocked with organic trout where fishing is free for guests. Organig Parc’s gardens have been designed by the Julian Dowle Partnership, winner of several Gold Medals at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

Dogs are welcome, a welcome pack of organic produce provided on arrival, an un-intrusive on-site manager, 5 minutes to the nearest beach, and of course, the Llyn’s guaranteed year-round weather; Organig Parc is the ideal short or long break holiday destination.

Relax in style and with a clear conscience at Organig Parc.

What to see and do...?

The Llyn is blessed with beautiful coves and superb sandy beaches such as Aberdaron, Porth Dinllaen and Whistling Sands for the family to enjoy days out on, as well as 60 miles of Heritage Coast to explore. The local towns of Pwllheli, Porthmadog and Criccieth have charming shopping streets and the latter also boasts a romantic castle overlooking the sea, whilst other fine castles can be seen at the nearby towns of Caernarfon and Harlech.

Within easy reach are 4 adventure parks, a wealth of heritage attractions including underground slate caverns and copper mines, and the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways providing exciting journeys through the picturesque valleys of Snowdonia. Also close by is the unique Portmeirion, an Italianate village designed by the world renowned architect William Clough Ellis and famously used as the backdrop for the cult '60s TV show "The Prisoner".
